ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY

SXG ensures a continual assessment of operations to ensure protection of the environment, the community and the health and safety of employees. We maintain appropriate procedures to ensure that all company activities are carried out in compliance with safety regulations, in a culture where the safety of personnel is paramount.

We have adopted the Minerals Council of Australia’s (MCA) commitment to eliminate sexual harassment in the workplace. Details on the MCA's commitment, policy and code of conduct can be found here.

We recognise environmental sustainability and respect for cultural and heritage issues as essential requirements for all activities. Procedures are maintained to ensure that the activity of employees and contractors are in accordance with this ethos.

We understands our responsibilities to various groups and therefore, the company follows industry best practice in negotiations with all stakeholders.

We will ensure an appropriate level of contact and negotiation with all stakeholders including landowners, indigenous peoples, community and hunting groups and regional authorities.

We commit to protecting the environment as well as the health and safety of its directors, officers, employees and consultants and the communities in which we conduct our activities.  Management will ensure that environmental, health and safety programs and performance standards are an integral part of our planning and decision-making. Our directors, officers, employees and consultants are responsible and accountable for compliance and have an obligation to bring issues forward to management for resolution.
